Dundee WestFest has been set up by a group of West End residents who love living here and who couldn't understand why someone, some mythical 'they', hadn't already set up a WestFest for them to go to and enjoy. Eventually our group realised if they wanted a West End festival they would have to organise it themselves. So here we are, living in a vibrant part of Dundee, with a great community and lots going for it - creating Dundee's newest festival.

And who are we?

The organising committee is : Kay MacFarlane, Liz Broumley, Angela Melhert, Paola McClure, Sandy Greenhorn, Lissa Monk, Rhoda Miller, Pauline Murray and Joe Alcorn, ably abetted by Natalie Mackland and Jim Gordon of Dundee City Council, Clem Broumley Young and the four West End councillors. In addition lots of other people are helping with the specific themes of art, drama and dance, environment, history and music.

Dundee WestFest welcomes people who want to get involved, organise local events and generally share the fun and camaraderie of making this happen.
